That night, 5 years ago, I had just turned 13. I was having a sleep over party with Nora and Ava. We watched movies, played games and ate sour candy until our stomachs hurt. Then, we had the bright idea to explore the outskirts of town. I had heard something, no, I felt something calling me to that rundown building--the one you'd pass on your way to the east country side, the one who's purpose had long been forgotten. It was closed off and although it would have been the best place to sneak around, no one really knew what laid deep beneath it. At least, until that day.
Was it Nora? Ava? Or was it I who walked in first? I think, I remember it now, I couldn't help myself. I felt something calling to me. "Let's stop, let's go back." If only I had listened to her. Ava was always the smart one, the cautious one. Which is why I always respected her opinion, except for this time...Why didn't I listen to her?
Forget the context. Just write the scene.
